I never really got into Bonobo. Always struck me as dull, coffee table kind of music. Probably alright as background music. There was one track a mate had on in his car once that was alright.

Picked up a few more cool albums on Bleep today
Photodementia - Fig.04c https://bleep.com/release/43551-photodementia-fig-04c
The Last Skeptik - Thanks For Trying https://bleep.com/release/43292-the-las ... for-trying
Dalhous - An Ambassador for Laing https://bleep.com/release/43280-dalhous ... -for-laing

Here's a link for that Lilacs & Champagne LP I mentioned earlier https://bleep.com/release/43262-lilacs- ... anish-blue

All acts I never heard of before today, but was browsing for new music and copped all of them just based on liking what I heard in previews, and haven't regretted it yet.

Some Bonobo stuff is really good, but can be very close to boring inoffensive background music. I'd go for Cinematic Orchestra, Fila Brazillia, four tet, or early nightmares on wax or jazzanova over Bonobo.

That Dalhous album is pretty cool indeed. It lacks absolute highlights but is fairly consistent.

Yea it's not exactly consistent when it comes to sound, feels more like a collection of random tunes than an LP.

I've had a quick listen through, only the tune with sabre actually sounds like Perez.

I am enjoying the Calibre though, nothing groundbreaking but nice tunes like always with him

Anyone mentioned the Pharmakon album on Sacred Bones? That's a good one.
