The only indies I really watch nowadays is ROH, and Chikara, so I won't be missing him much. I might try, and watch a few of his matchs to see what the hype is.

Worth a watch.

not a bad match, though to may chops. I really liked the supplex outside the ring, and he really did sell Sasaki's moves. I checked out a few other videos with him, one Vs Chuck Taylor lol, and 30 top moves, and he seems pretty good. Don't reckon he will make it in the WWE, unless he really plays to his oddball gimick.

Nope, not a chance...he's not a fit at all. Why it's such a shame he'll be out of the indies before they release him from his development contract :(

Someone like Ricochet would be a much better choice IMO;

Seeing as they've signed El Generico and have Adrian Neville/Pac already established in NXT...but then they have the risk of matches degenerating into spot-fests :?

Ricochet is amazing, he would be over in NXT in just one match, just like PAC was. Really excited for El Generco's debut on NXT this week, hope they don't tone his style down too much though.

I would like WWE, to sign ACH, and Tadarius Thomas they both have got bucket loads of style, though I reckon only ACH would have a chance at making it to the main roster.

And they have never done that before

Cannot fathom why they signed calliahn. He get's gassed easily and works stiff, both two things that really don't gel with the wwe's work style. He is much more suited to a Life in the indies or work for the huge japan promotions like new japan

- Del Rio/Swagger was MEH in the extreme. I just can't believe Del Rio as a face.

- Cena sold the HELL out of that match... Ryback was awful. The end was good, but with the flying sparks and time it took to get a camera on them, the 'injury' just seemed way too obviously kayfabe. This match shows why the Hogan comparisons with Cena aren't fair - he can carry a massive hulking lummox for half an hour and make it vaguely entertaining, Hulk was the lummox.

- Lesnar/HHH was decent, but the sledgehammer is the worst of all the "Attitude" weapons because nobody can ever take a proper swing with it. "Oh, yeah, I'll just break my hand in the process of hitting you.."

- Henry shoud've gone over instead of Sheamus.

- Is that the second year running Show's taken almost the same bump to finish at Extreme Rules? Meh.

Jericho/Fandango was a lot of fun.

Ambrose/Kofi was way better than expected. Kofi did a great job putting him over.

The Shield win with a new finisher. Perfect. I can see them holding all three belts til at least Survivor Series...

Skippy's promo last night on RAW was surprisingly good...Ambulance Match announced for Payback between him and Cena.

Yeah, he's getting better on the mic. He's going to need to learn how to bump if they're going to sell us an Ambulance Match though. Surely Ryback's not getting the strap?

It was no Booker T dropping the N-Bomb.

Curtis Axel looks fairly promising and it's good to see Heyman's stable grow a little... I'd never seen him before and was screwing at whoever made his theme before I realised who he was.

Curtis Axel = Michael McGillicutty

He's been around for ages, was a part of Nexus, and a tag team champion. Recently he jobs quite abit on Superstars, Saturday Morning Slam, and wins about as many as he loses on NXT, obviously why they changed his name. Bit surprised he is getting a push, hes pretty good in the ring, but they could be giving someone like Wyatt, Ohno, or Kruger a push :?

Ryback is one of the best big guys wrestling has ever seen. The only two things that need to be changed, are his stupid put on voice, and the shitty booking he gets. Oh, and maybe his ring gear as well, as it's a bit gay.

Wyatt they'd do well to leave in NXT for a bit longer whilst his character develops, plus the Family just won the NXT tag titles so I doubt he'll be moving anytime soon. Ohno (as I've mentioned before) should really be looking at moving up and reuniting with Cesaro, tag division could really use that as a shot in the arm.

Apparently Trips is a massive fan of Axel hence the push.

His promos are getting better now he's relaxed into the heel role a bit more. Agree on the attire though, it's like he's wearing Rob Van Dam's hand-me-downs.

Wyatt already has the best character in the WWE
Was just using them as examples. What I was trying to say, is that they should have gave any heel on NXT a push, instead of McGillicutty.

Sami Zayn debut was solid, but they toned down his style as expected. He was over as soon as he stepped on the ramp, the crowd were giving him ole's :D

Very good Raw so far, I must say.

Also, Punk vs Jericho at Payback? Color me very intrigued considering that Punk will be cheered out the building, and I caught a whiff of a Jericho heel turn during the highlight reel. Reminded me a bit of when he came back in 2012 to feud with Punk. Plus he is touring with Fozzy very so and will be gone for a awhile and supposedly he was supposed to turn heel awhile ago, perfect time now to get Punk super over as a face.

But maybe I am giving creative too much credit.

BBC have been running an old Timeshift doc on British wrestling this week (I assume in place of a proper obit for McManus):

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... _Grannies/
When Wrestling Was Golden: Grapples, Grunts and Grannies wrote:Timeshift turns back the clock to a time when villains wore silver capes, grannies swooned at the sight of bulky men in latex and the most masculine man in the country was called Shirley. In its heyday, British professional wrestling attracted huge TV audiences and made household names of generations of wrestlers from Mick McManus and Jackie 'Mr TV' Pallo to Giant Haystacks and Big Daddy. With contributions from inside the world of wrestling and surprising fans such as artist Peter Blake, this is an affectionate and lively portrait of a lost era of simpler pleasures, both in and out of the ring.
