We are thrilled to announce the official release of our first ever vinyl – a double A side from Japanese producer DUBTRO. As a label we feel that having progressed through a range of digital and other forms of physical releases, our natural evolution leads to vinyl.
The label and the artists involved, appreciate the foundational importance of vinyl and the sentimental value it has for like-minded music fans. We whole-heartedly embrace the warm quality it brings and welcome its complimentary reflection of the MindStep sound.
In this release, DUBTRO delivers two heavyweight tracks:
• a. Meditation – a lion hearted soundsystem rumbler, with a turn & twist.
• aa. Old Street – a serious sub weight underbelly, with an enchanting atmosphere.
This collectable release will be available in vinyl format only, with label logo sticker on one side and ‘hand-stamped’ information on the flip side.
As well as the labels’, this is DUBTRO’s debut vinyl release, which is a symbolic step, being that DUBTRO was our first featured artist with his own four track, debut Digital EP release back in 2011, entitled: Forgot Past Storage EP.
We celebrate and believe that the promotion of DUBTRO’s sound via vinyl fits perfectly with the label’s continuing philosophy of pushing up & coming and evolving artists.
More so than ever we value the continuing support from the MindStep community and recognise that without this, the brand would not be where it is today. We are really excited about the future of MindStep and know that this vinyl release is just the beginning of the next chapter in the MindStep story…
