Pegboard Nerds "Bounce-ish" Synth

Post by Katharsis » Mon May 27, 2013 3:42 am

I was wondering if you guys could help me make the bouncy synth bass sound in the song "20K" by Pegboard Nerds.
The synth is the main sound of the second half of the drop (at around 1:20). I feel like it's a enveloped sine with feedback in Massive, but can't ever make the sound when I sit down and try.
Any tips? Thanks.

Sounds like a stretched pluck with vocal properties. Creating something like that with massive would probably involve enveloping:
- volume
- pitch
- LPF (resonant)
- BRF (resonant)

My go:

Probably could've referenced the track more but i'd say its close enough to be convincing.

That's awesome! Way closer than what I was getting. :/ What filter did you use?
