It's seriously good, I like it better than GTA4. It's kinda how I imagine a new GTA London would be style wise. Mostly melee with not a lot of guns around. It makes it a lot more fun and challenging when you can't just throw grenades at everyone. Warp Radio and Ninja Tune radio are great as well.
It's been free on Playstation Plus for a while too. I got it free on Playstation EU a few months ago and now it's on Playstation US.
@BudSpencertron I'm waiting at least a year after ps4 launch to even consider it. Such a backlog of games on PS3 plus new ones still coming out for the next few years. Last Of Us out in a few weeks...

Looks great and the combat is brilliant. Doesn't have anything on the re-playability/roaming of GTA though.
They do take some getting used to, and they changed a bit between 2 and 3 as well.
It always throws me off going back to more normal FPS games, like going to Rising Storm I was hitting and holding alt to try to look over my shoulders while moving forward and leading all my shots.

Once you get the hang of it (no pun intended) you'll start to notice how amazing the fluency of the game is. Once I got the gameplay down I seriously couldn't stop playing it. Think I might give it another go on the higher difficulty soon.

Yeah, it's not all there. I find the roaming to be pretty good though, I'm still getting lost and finding new stuff. But I get what you mean. One of the things about GTA:SA and GTA4 is that they are so damn long. It takes me literally years. I'm nowhere near beating GTA4, and I'm only at the end of San Andreas now, and GTA5 is already about to come out. It's a weird thing to complain about, but sometimes short is sweet. Sleeping Dogs seems to have found a nice balance.
Also besides Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls is looking amazing. I think the only 2 games I'll have bought at launch during this whole gen.

Been getting god like ratings, almost to the point I want to question it.
It looks like uncharted with different characters to me
