There's even a Mexican restaurant in Inverness. My bird's from Texas. She's been over here and sampled our Mexican food. She will tell you without shame or remorse that it is shite.
I've been to Texas. I'd agree with her
There is one awesome Mexican rest in Glasgow though, Pancho Villas, in the merchant city. Even snooty Texans find it acceptable. Check it out if any of you are in town and fancy a spicy nibble.

i could go for some good shit right now actually for breakfast even.

We are lucky enough to have two good authentic places in town in Greensboro, North Carolina. Great tostadas ceviche for $3! Absolutely bangin' food, but the one closest to my house is in a small, crappy lil' building that kinda smells like the bathroom all over. We call it the MPC (Mexican Poop Closet) smell. If you can get far enough away from the MPC, then you'll have a great meal.

Some of the chain restaurants around here have been fined or shut down for making their "queso" in bathtubs like it were crank.

Still, I'd take real queso fresca from a bathtub over that processed fake cheese.

I def prefer a hole in the wall Taqueria over a sit down spot...
Oh,..and if the place serves up those big crunchy tortilla salad bowls or taco shells it's fakin' the funk.
Real spots serve Menudo every Sunday and have pics of all the different dishes posted up on the wall.

oh, that would be the redneck homemade crystal meth. You would only know what it is if you were from the midwest or southeast USA or were into NASCAR.
