usually, i dont give a shit about the canadian football league, and i try to forget its whole existence. however, our nations capital has just got a new team (even though they've had three franchises fold in my lifetime) and they called them: The RedBlacks.

what the fuck is this shit? the name has absolutely no meaning, aside from the fact that those were the colors of the previous franchises. i will not be surprised if this team folds in 3 years and somehow the investors walk away with millions of tax payer dollars. fucking hell.

i like when the names identify with something related to the city/area & if those colors are traditionally associated w/ the team then why not just call them that
