Am I understanding this correctly? Angled blade = "the next step in the evolution of the razor"?

It seems like every new razor out there is a "huge technological and innovative leap" (at least according to Gillette etc.), by now our razors should be able to cook and clean for us.

surely just holding the razor at a different angle to your face with a regular, run of the mill razor, produces this effect?

If they are, I am unaware.

Thank you. I have been in a bubble for a little while, floating away from electronic stuff - music and computers
