not really feeling any of this. had higher expectations with the producers involved.

the tnght beat was a real letdown. as collige already pointed out, it sounds like someone took "higher ground" and added some strange melody on it and then kanyes voice on autotune... :x
most of the songs sound like various ideas all together in one track but there was noone who could combine / connect them.

A lot of power on new slaves, wish more of the album was like that, but blood on the leaves is still strong and Im in it has a good strong classic hip hop feel . I admire what he is doing. Maybe after a few more listens I might grow to love it.

I love Black Skinhead, New Slaves, I'm In It, Blood On The Leaves and Bound 2, the rest is good with some moments I can't stand. Chief Keef's autotune singing on Hold My Liquor (I assume he's supposed to sound drunk, still sounds gash though), that painfully harsh Frank Ocean bit (heard it for the first time really loud in my car, I think my ear drums exploded a bit) and basically all of Guilt Trip... I don't understand why that was approved for the album. The beat for On Sight annoys the hell out of me after a while too.

I think this is overall pretty solid. I like it a lot better than Dark Fantasy. No, it's not perfect, but I'm glad a big name such as Kanye is bringing something fresh to the mainstream.

First the blood pon the leaves TNGHT sample is from "R U Ready?!" not higher ground

Yeezus is a serious mind fuck,
broken tech-hop, dirty/clean production and very abrasive and sultry lyrics.
I like the minimal aspect, complements the lack there of art work. proving that the music is what makes the music.
not some slick digipackaging gatefold. sorry Bowie and Disclosure, but we have to make our mark.
no gimmicks, no insulting artwork disgracing the overall point of the record.
not that all alum artwork is unworthy, forever changes, murder was the case (Gucci Mane), and Bauhaus, NIN, Closer by Joy Division and loveless to name a few, I still can't accept the art work bitch move of distorting the painting of the wicked chewbacca and his caucasion prey.
I would NEVER do that, go ahead and ban the album, that fine. hold album burnings for all I care, ohh walmart dosn't want to cary the CD because the cover art suggests sex, good like I want some fucking redneck who shops at Wallmert to buy my shit anyway.

tryn' to black ball me, forgottabout one thing my black balls

I'm not plYING favorites on this record, 100% of the 10 songs are/is/ and forever will be incredible/amazing
new slaves in 5/4 time, that's NEVER happened before, (If it has please link/)
but it sodn't stop there, the raunch, the gutter bathing raunch to end all purity
a virgin sacrifice, and this is rocky horror picture show (could we buy the rights to rocky horror for mykki and r.frsch??) THANKS!

I love the dancehall digital-threat of boombap trill cult to the flaunt-grind of the 5th element
this is the future, lived in past tense,
her violin, mos, pusha-t, capeleton or whoever, it's a great fact that Kanye is shifting 6 gears to earth from heaven
born again... memories don't live like people do, weather things are good or bad, it's just the memories that you had/

and we are family
together we wil surrender the lust for everyone else and in pryer
we wish all the love helps others all in love
together, with our music, music off all sorts, because it's all valid.
tom waits to r.kelly to gucci mane to africa hitech
all of it is good,
even the bad aspects of the substance I'll forever live with out

though, what does it mean to go blacked out? maybe a brother could answer that for me, fellow brotherly ninja... Calico where u at?
dark reggae is a favorite of mine, I love the dark side of that dub/dancehall, Keith Hudson's "playing it cool" is among my favorite albums of all time!
it's ironic to hear the steady praise for another speaking in the first person, as he too is a god, and we are all in god we trust
crackers getting bust for in gods we trust.
screaming over techno sub-bass give life to death XIII Mort understands,
it's not that it's death, it's just on the tip of my tongue and her tongue will collide with mine in due time
channeler, new slaves, do something for all the unborn childz swimming around in your fish tank, right?
I'd love to know more about the samples on new slaves, and the epic shift at the end proves
sadness is an art form, and which I know too well and hope to continue to perfect, as if I hav't already
I think that's u pusha, my AGGIN! love u man, polka dot porsche, I'm grateful!
every album needs a drinking song, no control, of each other, no judgments.
I can't cut like u guys, I won't, it's not a competition anyway,
who'd more caked up, or who's off the shit
any wich way, it's wine and weed for till the next chapter
and on my wedding night, we will revisit the demon that started all.
cue the guitar solo, and it sounds AMAZING... like hendrix, like, clapton, like CC fucking devil lol
new new new, I'm ready, ship_it as I used to say, ironically as walking past A. Morrissette in front of brio
and the liner equation continues and so fourth, no more slave joints (Shout out 2 Natural Child and Ramona F/)

love the keys at the end, great touch, it's funny because Chan and I are getting closer and closer
its like we are revolving around each other
she is the absolute love of my life and no one will ever take her away from me
ever, i believe in soulmates and true love,
GANG GANG DNACE IS SUCH AN UNDERRATED band.
I love lizzy and I apologize for saying you buys looked tired at symbiosis,
I sould've been more polite and said, nice total burner set girl.
hey may I ask, do u still have that amythist and watermellon tourlmoine necjlace I made you (sp?)
anyways, GGD is one of my favorite live bands, at their show with ariel pink in PDX,
I got on stage at the end and all the kids started jamming on their gear.
I tried to do a show with them on the eyecontact tour and thir booking agent didnt take the offer
because chromeo was playing that night, and get this he books both of those bands!
so it could've been the best line up humboldt has ever scene GGD supporting Chromeo
and instead, bup-kiss-nada, anyways, looking forward to the new Gang Gang Dance album
I love LIZZY and Gavin, and their guitarist is very talented.
strongly reccomend god's money eye contact and raw war, very underrated band from NYC
from the school of Animal Collective and Black Dice
with a swxy witchy front lady stand up drum kit,
although prince rama did end up playing at E2 w/projections that night and that was very fun
took some extra special pure MDMA that night and Dirty Box and Creepy Marbles killed it too!!!
LONG LOVE U PRINCE RAMA

Gave it three chances the only track I've kept is "blood on the leaves". Find the rest really grating and annoying.

Pondering the proper opening acts for upcoming kanye tour,
Although he now has some fatherly duties, so therefore let's take this as an opportunity to hatch out a rough plan
-TV on the Radio, what can we say about this blessing to the rock community.
They are a fantastic addition to anyones record collection.
and I've met Kip way back in the day @ Mississippi Records in PDX.
Anyways, I'd like it for them to be the direct support through the entire tour
they deserve it, and I'm sure they would be thrilled to play supporting Kanye,,
and if they wanted to collab with Saul Williams on 4/5 songs I would be thrilled to hear codded language live ...
tell u what guys... impress me. u will, u already have, but it's a bet
what more is there in life than a bet.
her betting on him
him betting on her
there is no absolutes
nothing sacred other than the most high judgment
music, the wild angel horn in the sky as the clouds part on an overcast day
Kanye West
TV ON THE RADIO ft. Saul Williams
and select dates with Rockie Fresh &/or Mykki Blanco
and special opening guest SALEM

SALEM's King Night was among my favorite releases of 2010, to those of you lift "in the DARK", please do yourself a favor and check out this amazing band with a very compelling aesthetic, it's Witch-House, meaning live trapish, mixed with ghostly goth, others in the same vain is Holy Other and Balam Acab, Salmen is really the queens of the sound though, I've caught some of the UK's top dawgs rinsing their sinister sound, Kode9 live @ DMZ, as well as Scuba's Essential Mix, I wish there was a bit more buzz about this band, but some things are better kept a secret...
