Re: Adventure Club
No it's not. It's actually rather effective at its intended purpose - to distinguish bro from real dubstep. We need the word brostep. We also need a word for real dubstep. http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=273678dotcurrency wrote:Also the word brostep is fucking stupid. Don't do it.
Re: Adventure Club

Re: Adventure Club
I'm kind of curious, do you guys see dubstep eventually returning to its roots, or where do you see it going from here? If/when the brostep fad passes by, what's the next thing? I hope it's not trap, because I keep seeing trap songs on the beatport dubstep charts... smh

Re: Adventure Club
Definitely trap. I dont think it'll return to its roots. I can't recall any genre doing that. Besides, progression is what's best I SUPPOSE.Add9 wrote:I'm kind of curious, do you guys see dubstep eventually returning to its roots, or where do you see it going from here? Re: Adventure Club
I'd say it's already moved on-- to several different places. There's the dungeon sound which for better or for worse is what dubstep is nowadays. Then there's the dark 130 stuff pushed by keysound which is probably closer to the original vibe. Then there's Loefah who plays mainly house now, Blawan with his warehouse techno and people like hessle audio and tape echo crews who do a little of anything.Add9 wrote:I'm kind of curious, do you guys see dubstep eventually returning to its roots, or where do you see it going from here? Basically, it fragmented like 3 years ago.
Re: Adventure Club
Yes, proof that people actually fully embraced the term brostep:
They don't believe someone came up with it on here
