TBH this is how I make 99% of my tunes lately. Will fire up Reaper for fancy shit I can't do in NS, but for the most part all of my composition and a pretty hefty chunk of sound design all gets done on my iPhone during 20 minute bathroom breaks.

I'd say about 75% of the time when I go out and get drunk I secretly wish I was making music.

I've thought about bringing my laptop to friends' houses before, but they would not like that very much.

I do this too man, especially if I get stoned.

Nothing wrong with going out. I usually cant get much production done on fridays because my phones just goin off with friends trying to do something (only s few friends of mine produce).

What I've found is, incorporate your passion with your nights. I'm meeting more and more producers/DJ's and when we hang out on friday we get drunk/high/do the social thing, but we're usually putting on a house party, doing a show, or just providing a system at a party, so it's still sort of relevant.

it gives me a feeling that i'm alone which is great, because you're just doing your own thing.
of course going out can be nice too.. but what i enjoy most is the time spent producing.

I think fair enough to you if you're having a couple of beers while producing, but if you're getting shit faced off vodka pineapples on your own then you should probably look up alcoholism
