Ajit - You've Got To (House)

Post by ajit » Tue Jun 25, 2013 9:00 am

Soundcloud

I didn't mention it when you were outside but this is my first track. Seven days ago I tried my first DAW. Hours and hours of tutorials later, this is what I'm left with.

I've no idea what genre it is.

Thoughts? Red flags? I don't think it is mixed well. Then again, I'm not entirely sure what that means...

Thanks for the feedback!

Is this your first production?
In that case, amazing work! It's way better than the first tune i made.

If you're new, i would recommend you to try to learn as much as you can about your DAW of choice and some vst.
There are plenty of tutorials on youtube for begginers. And if you dont understand something, you can always ask here.
There's no point on learning about mastering if you still don't know the basics ;-)

Keep working, practise will take you everywhere

It is my first (excluding a 20 second melody that sounded like a nursery rhyme). And thank you! Well, I've used programs like Audacity to mess around with tempos and combine other songs but nothing nearly quite like a real DAW. So a little bit of a head start I suppose.

I will continue with the tutorialing. So far I've only downloaded one VST.
