See, this is the problem - I know he's a fantastic actor but all I can think of when I see him is 'jizzupthewalljizzupthewalljizzupthewall'

Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
everybody needs to watch everything charlie kaufman is involved with writing. this is his directorial debut, but he also wrote being john malkovich, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, confessions of a dangerous mind, human nature, and adaptation.Rönin wrote:

Hits the spot... I loved itThe plot follows an ailing theatre director (Hoffman) who stages an increasingly elaborate production that blurs boundaries between fiction and fact as he watches his life tearing apart
Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
^I've seen half of those and they were all great, didnt know they were all by the same guy. Adaptation is a must purely for the fact that its the only movie with 2 Nic Cages

Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
he writes himself into every script (except confessions which is a biography), which makes adaptation especially hilariously meta, but it's also great to see how each actor interprets the role. much like how lead roles in woody allen movies are different versions of woody, regardless of the actor.
Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
Kaufman's excellent; I think of all his films Adaptation is probably my favourite, they're all great though.
Hope Leaves The Theatre is also very good.
As for films I've seen recently...
Down By Law

i watched talented mr ripley which was pretty fun to watch. Though i ignored the last 5 minutes unnecessary- i just imagined my own ending where he got away scot free.
