I found it here, but speeded up:

that song prompts me to think that it might be a garageband loop

Can anyone confirm that it's a GarageBand loop?

Are the strings in that track garageband loops aswell? because I have heard them in other tracks on SoundCloud.

This thread has turnt into the musical mysteries thread :6:

Yes. It's "Asian Gamelan 01". Here's a sweet track I made using it: Soundcloud

Also, in that second track, the string loop is "Orchestra Strings 08" and I'm pretty sure all the rest of the sounds are various other Garageband loops.

Thanks for the ID's.

The drum beat in your track fits very nicely with the loop, not sure on the bassline, I think it would be better suited with a sub bassline imo.

I just grabbed a couple random loops and threw them in there. I don't think it took as much time to make as it did to listen to it.

Here's version two:

I'm pretty sure it's older than garageband. It's probably a really old stock sound, like the wilhelm scream, I bet.
Bonus bonus points for anyone who can figure out which computer game I'm talking about.... I'm trying to remember now lol
I had some 90s Jumpstart games......found them! I will dig deep for this sample! :D

No problem :)
Also, I can't help but share this gem I found while playing it. For each section, a character sings a song for you about the math concepts you just learned about. Here is a French beaver named "Measuring Mack" who raps about measuring. 8)

I think the sample rate and/or bit depth were quite low too, being a 90s cd-rom game.
