Genetix 'deep' stuff is some of the blandest, most formulaic, dungeon shit out there. Skream really might have been on-to something with his blown out of proportion comments. If Kahn, Commodo, and a hand-ful of other producers weren't around that actually sound unique, I'd fuck off this entire genre entirely. Can Toasty please come forward and announce a double-album with Search and Destroy, featuring collabs with Slaughter Mob, Moving Ninja, Omen, and Elemental!?!?! Or am I just supposed to pretend that the last dozen or so releases on Tempa haven't sucked donkey-dick (Amit 12 aside, and even that doesn't compare to stuff from a few years ago) The Quest and Clouds albums better blow my mind..

'killzone' and 'going in' are like these stripped back tearout beats. i generally respect your opinions but that's just completely unfair IMO. all these people saying 'dubstep is dead' are so full of shit - just because your tastes have changed doesn't mean the scene has become stagnant. tbh i've never been more excited about the scene.

also, tempa? the newest proxima release is unreal. not just from an engineering standpoint, but it's again a serious tearout / minimal hybrid ('thermal vision' specifically)

i don't know maybe i'm in the minority but i think genetix are some of the best producers atm - never really rated their tearout. and when i think of dungeon i think of, i don't know, dj madd - life you chose. genetix are not dungeon at all.

People are trying too hard to be "Dark" and are forgetting about the part of the music what actually matters, The energy. These lads with releases' on SOLID labels should be putting out more inspirational music than the stuff out there right about now. Bongos + Detuned sinewave = Worthy of a Tempa release apparently. All just my opinion of course.
