it's the scene's that I miss. I've never before witnessed popular / trendy / sheep culture to be as widespread, but so soulless ever. I guess that's mass consumerism and the marketing machine for you. From my experience kids these day's (no offense anyone) are generally into everything, but actually into nothing all at the same time. It's weird! I don't get it.Molzie wrote:u old bastard.

Re: Living in a different decade
It would have been nice to have entered the world in 78 instead of 88. I would have been old enough to appreciate the golden era of Hip Hop in real time and the early electronic scenes.

To be mid-20s or so during the 1967 summer of love in san fran would be legendary, same with like woodstock. or london in 92-93
the one with jake gylenhaal and robert downey jr? great movie

Holy hell, I just saw that film last night now too, had not looked at this thread or anything. Strong film, disappointed when I later searched and lots of people don't believe Arthur Allen was the killer.

Know what you mean. But maybe it's a good thing that people aren't so rigidly defined by the music they listen and base their whole lifestyle around it. But I think it's also kinda sad that no-one really believes in anything any more. Everyone is so cynical that no-one really has an ideology that they adhere to in this day and age.Be-1ne wrote:it's the scene's that I miss. I agree with you in essence, but all that's happened is everything has just become massively watered down.rorz9992 wrote:Know what you mean. Re: Living in a different decade
I'm still pretty much living in the 90's.
Seems like that was about when the decades stopped having a typical stereotype associated with them. Also the end of your style representing your lifestyle for the most part. Like now people will wear skateboard clothes even tho they never will try skateboarding, you used to get called a poser for doing that sort of thing.
