How do i create this 80s sounding bass/guitar?

Post by zsuffa » Sat Jul 06, 2013 10:42 am

I'm wondering if there is anyone here who knows how to create this kind of bass sound? Im hearing a delay, and possibly a touch of reverb, but since I've mainly worked with samples and synthesis so far, i am basically clueless when it comes to recording stuff in. Would highly appreciate a few pointers.

Well just get your dry guitar loop and throw a Guitar Rig and play with the effects. Use finely selected delay and a light chorus. You might also like to record a riff two times, pan one hard left, second one hard right, and play them at once.

Ask guys from 80's hope they are alive. Also try tape simu...emulators and shitty distortion for 1 dollar.

Another way try to record distorted guitar sound on grannys mic. :corncry: :w:
I'm not joking.
