I just miss songs.alphacat wrote:^ One note basslines... TOTALLY.
Or the same little half step riff over and over... F/F# for 6 minutes except a dropout in the breakdown.
I miss songs with parts and progression.

Re: Today's electronic music
I didn't read the thread, but the fact that this song is so popular is a part of what is wrong with today's electronic music.

I mean, everything but the "drop" is pretty good, but even if you look past the modern talking the drop is compeltely devoid of any creativity, any anything. It just confuses me.

The modern talking made me throw up in my mouth a little bit. 51 million views. smh. At least the video was entertaining. But I can't help but feel like they're trying to steal Savant's thing. Also, reminded me of this:Coolschmid wrote:I didn't read the thread, but the fact that this song is so popular is a part of what is wrong with today's electronic music.

Watch his in the studio video on this, it's even more annoying - he literally has no idea what he's doing in Massive and he's so inept.Coolschmid wrote:I didn't read the thread, but the fact that this song is so popular is a part of what is wrong with today's electronic music.

Trap is so fucking overrated, my friends think they're so cool just because they hear it, when it comes to producing it, all I hear and see are lazers and a clusterfuck of Trumpets and hornsTriphosphate wrote:LMAO looks like another dubturbo pluginmromgwtf wrote:

I don't hate trap but I really don't like the pitched down vocal thing that everyone tries to do... that and the snares often seem to have way to much high end. It's like getting punched in the ear every time the snare hits
