I hope Finn stays in, would be harsh to drop him after 1 test and he's a better bowler than Bresnan or Onions, especially at Lords.

EDIT: Oh well, I'm kinda surprised Bresnan has come in, but at least it'll beef up our batting somewhat. He'll go at 8 I'm guessing, ahead of Broad...

it's hard to watch the cow towing to the aristocrats
like Botham & Border ;-)
& surely the lords could afford to have the oval levelled

I believe the MCC think that the slope adds to the "character" of Lords, personally I think the MCC are a bit stuck up but the slope adds another interesting factor to any matches played there, I'm all for it.

Swann is such an attacking bowler, love watching him get stuck in.

Top catch from Bell to dismiss Smith, England on top now..

*edit* Don't know why clarke is looking upset about that, plum LBW

Great innings from root. He plays the ball so late its amazing. Idk, i feel kind of sorry for australia, but wouldnt put it past england to bat a bit tomorrow and really grind them into the dust.

A much more balanced day of cricket today, I think it's even going in to tea. This evening session could really dictate the momentum for the rest of the test though, a quick 100 for Australia would really shake things up.

Smith should've been given out too. Been some shocking umpiring decisions in this series so far, but the Kawaja one is probably the most ridiculous, no idea what the 3rd umpire was thinking there.
