Soundcloud

Review by Juno:

"Deep dubstep from Rochester, NY. Not where you'd expect some of the most authentic minimal 140 sounds to be coming from, but since the brostep boom over the Atantic, many producers are stuck on reclaiming the genre. Fabricator's newcomer status belies a devastating talent for deep atmospherics and dark, head-turning bass manipulation. Utilising wide open spaces in his production as well as judicious layers of sub pressure, there's also an element of experimentation to this release. "Hey!" in particular has a surprise waiting in the fifth minute. One to watch."

Big ups Drooka on the review tip:

http://deepdarkdungeondubstep.tumblr.co ... arp-mixing

"Already well known locally for his sharp mixing and stellar selection, 4D (and Western New York) fam, Fabricator, has announced himself as an up-and-coming producer to watch out for with this strong debut release on Phantom Hertz. ‘Society’ is reminiscent of some of the earliest deep productions, showcasing heavy subbass, precise halfstep patterning, and catchy vocal cuts. The result of building around this classic foundation is undeniable. Wide, distorted swells, a confident hi-hat line that drives things forward, and an ethereal pad fill in the grooves to create a steppy dancefloor killer. Fabricator wastes no time introducing his productions in ‘Hey!’, as listeners are immediately dropped into a rolling bassline accompanied by a pacey palette of percussion. While the track as a whole is impressive, it would be criminal to ignore the midrange synth that steals the limelight in this tune. Uniquely innocent in its presentation, it conveys the perfect amount of flair to demand attention without excluding any of the other elements from the mix and is a prime example of Fabricator’s originality and technical skill."
