I caught some of a skream and benga set one night at glastonbury and it was ok, still did the "finish a set with some random rock song" but it was less bro and more tech house stuff.

Later that night I saw him go B2B with Disclosure and it was much better but that was because again it was more swamp etc.

as for benga, last that i heard, he's trying to mix cheesy pop with cheesy bland dubstep.

much respect for skream for doing his disco thing. he at least can make amazing disco/house sets that make this change all worthwhile.

What does Hijak mostly play these days? I mean I think i've only ever caught him once at a Deep Medi night in Manchester and he was on last and I was fucking spondoogled. I don't recall his set but i definitely recall talking to him in the smoking area and he stopped me and asked me why I was asking so many fucking questions. Shit I don't really recall much that night fuck sake.

I do have a lot of respect for Hijak though he's done his own low key thing for years but he plays like Swamp stuff right?

Just got back from a week in Ibiza and got to say Skreamizm at Sankeys with Route94 and Duke Dumont was definitely my favourite night. The music is fun more than anything else. Big basslines, cheeky samples, and smiling faces. Its not about looking cool, or playing the freshest stuff.......its about having a good time!

The next proper single will tell the tale imo, but I'm with Jack on this one. Good that he's branching out and finally going down a route, which I bet he has wanted to for some years, but always had a fear of doing. It doesn't help that house is the wankers choice at the moment and most people can't look beyond the usual bullshit.

Good idea.

ive said it for time

skream / benga = brostep.

ppl get so butthurt about it cos theyre both dubstep OGs so obv anything they produce cant possibly be brostep :S (even tho it clearly is)
