i think that's the main point. probably not the way it's intended to be, but happens because tune's get released faster now than in 2006.
that's why i doubt a joe nice mix with recent tunes would be 90% dubs like someone said. and as much as i'd love a joe nice mix full of classic dubs, the point of the allstars series is to represent a certain sound at a certain time (imo) and not just a "best of all time classics".
The 90% dubs guy would be me
The other 10% would probably be the experimental-ish stuff from Gantz and the likes as that other guy said.

Looking forward to hearing this.
I'd imagine the tunes are old because it seems the CD's are mixed well ahead of the release. I'm sure they were all dubs at the time of mixing. I remember plasticman mentioned on rinse that he mixed dubstep allstars in august 2012, according to what i can find online it came out in january of this year - by which time the majority of the tunes would have been released i'd imagine.

I didn't even know it came out until someone tweeted about it. Had a quick flick through the mix on Juno and was pretty much sounded like a Youngsta show apart from the last 6 mins.

Is it just me or does he look like he's wearing a jacket two sizes too big in that cover photo?
Definitely gonna cop this since there are a few gems in the unmixed version such as Thelem - Synthetic Artifacts, Icicle - Caffeine and Ulterior Motive - Tien. Also love J:Kenzo's mixing style, so should be good overall.

not a huge fan of this style of dubstep personally. best songs IMO were semtex, eyes wide open, and dubsteppin

just want to say that this CD is fucking sick. never really liked dungeon but on this mix it's like jkenzo took all the best the genre has to offer and left all the shit tunes out. best tunes on this CD are jkenzo's Dark Place remix, TMSV's Haze, and LX ONE's Reflect (banger). bravo to jkenzo for his selection on this one. ace as fuck.
proud owner of Lurka's only big up

wouldn't bother with the unmixed version since most of these tunes are boring as fuck on their own imo
