****update no point in emailing.. ill leave the message for posterity****

Ok, i have been looking to put together a monthly Dubstep/dnb online radio show to represent various projects i am putting out at the moment, one of them being Noir.

Now I contacted bass drive (www.bassdrive.com) as they are a very large internet based radio station to enquire about a possible show.

I'm not going to divulge the contents of the email but lets just say the popularity and growth of dubstep was discussed and the long and short of it was, they wont put a show on their station because they receive no feedback requesting dubstep.

Anyway can each of you take a minute to email **pubic email removed at request by bassdrive, you can find it here :)** http://www.bassdrive.com/v2/contact.html requesting they have a dubstep show and why, nothing to long and make sure you keep it polite!

Having a show on here will really help spread the virus as they have quite a far reach for a web based station.

Incidentally if their station manager gets back in contact with me, if I am unable to do the times available I'll make sure someone here gets put forward, we need to represent!

P.S. The Rinse FM shows got something unique for me.

Yah... what a great idea... Have my email flooded with requests.

Like i said in the email i wrote to you... There are NO requests from the daily listeners on bassdrive.

I didn't ask you to post something on this forum, which is full of nothing but dubstep, to mass produce requests.

I can tell you this... You pretty much just kissed any chance you had at a show on bassdrive goodbye.

I think the point of this exercise was to show you the potential audience you could be reaching if you incorprated dubstep into your schedule.

Of course this a dubstep only board but it has a lot of followers and they are people who could be boosting your figures and becoming daily listeners.

I've talked to the majority of the regulars in the chatroom. None of them are interested in a dubstep/grime show. Also... Is Dubstep/Grime even dnb?

I personally think the stuff is terrible. But in your defense... I feel that clownstep for the most part is terrible... and we have shows that play nothing but.

BassDrive.com is 24/7 Drum and Bass... I'm not sure that Dubstep falls into the same genre.

Surely it would be all about increasing the range and volume of your listenership whilst producing a degree of cross-pollination.

Can't see why that would be bad when the dubstep genre fits perfectly with the name 'bassdrive' and so many ex-dnb heads have got into it...

For me is it a way to try new things as musician. With fitting response. Its realy refreshing. Everyone do his thing how he likes it. Like in old days.

Zew, I think you've confirmed for us neither you nor your site would get behind the music anyway. And that you're pretty rude.

You've also missed the obvious, that there are a lot of people who aren't already coming to your site who likely would become listeners if you had a dubstep show.

Poorly played on your part. Luckily for us, there's no shortage of online outlets for dubstep.

;)

Dubstep isn't drum and bass. We're strictly dnb. We don't play other genre's... so why should we play dubstep? It'd be like us playing hip hop... or house.

Not gonna do it.

Rude? I think not. Rude is the fact that someone is having my website spammed w/ requests for a show that isnt even DNB. If you have so many online outlets for dubstep and grime... then why bother with me?

You make no sense.
