from past experience, anyone aware of and can link me up with...

-a site that specialise in flat screen !cheap(er)! PC monitors.

-low cost cables and jacks.

also, has anyone had experience with Tapco S8 active hefties? do they talk the standard they walk?

oh AND M1A Echo s/card...any thoughts?

They're fucking loud - slightly glossy but you'll get used to it and always reference on other systems - if you can get em for a decent price go for em

I used to work there and they are quality cables at dirt cheap prices... they sell everything from a guitar lead, pro looms or can even wire up your full studio for ya....

my monitor was from pc world samsung one cost 150

it ain't pretty like these new ones BUT 17" screen with built in tv adapter, dv vga & scart sockets and tv aerial socket

so its a full tv, no tv card or nuffin rqd - plugged my pc in the vga, the scart goes to a dvd player and the tv lead goes into the hole in the wall.

not the cheapest but i aint seen a flat 17 inch tv/lcd monitor for 150 squid nowhere else!!

HOLD UP - just been on pc world website to get the link, some company called AOC got one that looks toe-for-toe but 19" screen

im feelin that pricing :wink: . you see im buying this fucking hefty pc from an independant specialists called novotech...check it out = www.novotech.com or .co.uk. its the eexecutioner range. but they charge an extra 300 something for monitor...

i'm on macs and theyre the same the monitor is like half as much as the bloody machine!

best left well alone

i'm happy with mine - its got the samsung build quality, tv so i can chill with it too when the missus is watching bloody corrie (again!) and cos its from pc world, if theres a problem i'll be straight down the local branch for a replacement
