Well it was originally an arcade title, and most arcade titles were intentionally hard to eat quarters.
Still one of the best twin stick shooters to this day though.

Cave shmups are the most hardcore arcade games out there, If you want a challenge that will take years to master pickup one of there 360 ports.

Oh god bullet hells, never got any enjoyment out of those, only pure rage.
Half the skill of those games is knowing what the actual hitbox is on your ship since it's usually nowhere near what the actual sprite graphic is.

I'm not too familiar with Cave games, but Ikaruga is an amazing game despite being quite difficult. The 360 version gives you infinite lives if you keep failing though, so that helps. I've played a few of the Touhou games too and they're not TOO difficult on the easier settings.

Deadly Habit - Do you have any suggestions for decent S.T.A.L.K.E.R Call of Pripyat graphics mods.
I have everything turned up fully but it still looks a bit meh.
I want to play the vanilla game before Misery 2.0 though.

Not off the top of my head, most are re-balancing and game changing that I know of.
Check the mod db page for some though http://www.moddb.com/games/stalker-call-of-pripyat/mods

I've checked them all really.
Most ppl suggest Misery 2.0 but suggest playing the vanilla before going Misery as it changes the gameplay a fair bit.
The graphics look very nice in Misery though.

I only really had a problem with the trees in the distance, amongst other things.
The trees just look shitty at a distance.
I guess I'm comparing it to Arma which I shouldn't

you are right about misery changing the gameplay, infact i'd suggest just going straight into misery because its completely different to vanilla, you will just have to re-learn how to play misery after completing the game normally

:cornlol: there is, I remember seeing GRRM doing an interview saying he has some fans he actually contacts sometimes who track some character details and family trees because he's created so many in the course of the novels.
