Producer called Compa
Re: Producer called Compa
Loads of live sets include soundscapes. The part I found funny was "I was daring to go against it all.", by playing your most recently released tune lol? I get his point but that paragraph is pretty cringey.
Recall him saying when it was forthcoming he was gunna open majority of his sets with it too so it's not like a spur of the moment decision that worked well. I think its a good opener though, hopefully opens with it Saturday.

i know if selenskys were moving like this in 07/08 than they would have got heckled endlessly for their antics. funny how this is one of the only threads where loads of heds openly dislike a breh too. speaks volumes.£10 Bag wrote:Compa blocked me from his Facebook page cos I asked him why he deleted a taco-related comment on there![]()
Dude used to send us demos for Dubliminal but I wasn't really feeling them. When I asked for some stuff I was actually feeling he ignored me totally. Only heard from him again (another year or two later) when he learned I have a Mala dubplate which he desperately wants, wanting to know how I got it

Re: Producer called Compa
Well as it transpires this particular soundscape was used as an opener. Which makes sense. I've heard Compa's sets and he's a sick DJ, but I had this vision of him rinsing sick beats on the acetates he loves so much, then out of nowhere switching into a random ambient soundscape. The point I was trying to make was, I wouldn't be fukken surprised if that kills a dancefloor!!!!! Skanking away, only to find yourself lost in a sea of random sounds. It's not exactly hypey is it? You wouldn't go to "This Is Dubstep" Cable at or "Warehouse project" in Manchester to sit down and have a proper intelligent, introspective listen would you?Gambowl wrote:So you think a soundscape should never be played in a "Club" ever? Alright, sorry Burial, but you've got to fock off you tnuc 8m, Sparxy reckons your music isn't god enough to listen to in a club.Sparxy wrote:Who goes to a club to hear a soundscape!? Re: Producer called Compa
I don't really get the hype around this. It's not for me. It's literally dripping in reverb to the point where it sounds all wishy-washy. I don't see what is so "forward thinking" about it, it's just a grime tune that sounds like it's being played in a cave. The progression of the melody doesn't really make any sense. To me it just sounds like a shit version of Kahn & Neek - Thief In the Law (which I think is a SICK tune!).Johoosh wrote:7 wheels for this?
Expected a bit more, like the twinkly percs but the rest just sounds like an Elmo Riddim knock off
To be honest I don't really get the hype around most of his tunes. In a lot of them the sub is too loud to the point where it's clipping
Re: Producer called Compa
tbf the way he worded it made it sound like he played in the middle of a set

cos i post them on my internets blawg where i put music that i like cos i think u should share good music u like with people and ur friends. and its better to ask people first instead of just putting rips of stuff on youtube. i dont expect to gain anything from doing that lol.TopManLurka wrote:u say that but yet i've seen you ask guize if u can up their beats on your youtube channel. y is that PAL?

lol @ the backtracking coz i caught u out. *says he's not a sycophant* - *admits to emailing (lululu) guize about whether he can upload there beat to youtube (lol ffs, dead)*. drop the whole "ppl ned to hear dis" act either, ur fooling no-one.
this is my last post on here tbh. i've got 'beef' with no-one. ur messiah sent some essay trying to explain his bootleg antics thinking there's 'beef' too. the f*ck is wrong with u lot man? i'll call out any badmind character. from his bootlegs being sent to everyone, admitting he downloaded rips because he didn't wanna pay for the actual vinyl, to thinking he can chat to benton, to the leaked anti-war dub issue, questioning where ppl who were about way before him got their dubs from, ah ffs this guy should hold a slap for all his antics uno. thank fck that when system posted that 'who would u like to see play' status, the 1/2 ppl that mentioned this guy got squashed in the comments instantly by everyone else. i don't ever wanna see a selensky @ system that looks at their punters and comes out with this utter bollocks
+ i've said b4, i'd happily hold a perma-ban if it turns out i contribute less to this forum than the majority of ppl on here.

the level of disrespect is a str8 disrespect. like i said, this is the only thread i've seen on here with heds that openly dislike the breh and bar the benton issue, i weren't involved in anything on here, speaks volumes. i bigged up this guy with the medi thing and everything, but nah fuck this guy tbh. got no respect for badmind ppl.I was like ‘You’ve never fucking heard a soundscape in a club before have you’.
