Kicks in this tune sound like 808's but I'm nowhere close to recreating them. Can somebody give me some tips about purely remaking them? I'm trying to recreate the whole song, and only thing missing are kicks.
I tried pitching 808's, making a pure sine wave kick but I had many problems with pitching them to the original tune.

Get a nice long kick, high pass it at roughly 150hz and put a decent amount of reverb on it, then create an 808 kick in massive, but add an additional envelope altering the pitch so it bends slowly over the course of the note as well, long decay or something.

tl;dr layer a messy reverb kick on top, mess around with secondary pitch envelopes on an 808 in massive til it sounds right
