Beautiful performance from Gould here:

This was a classic even in the 1800's:

Incredibly noisy recording though, 00:45 is some scary shit too.

wasn't there another classical thread a while ago where we proved that dubstep is objectively intellectually inferior?

Or was that the jazz thread?

you can´t compare both genres. one is about rhythm and the other about harmony

Although Stravinsky destroys dubstep rhythmically

I agree with you over all though. Different music does different things, elitist attitudes are bullshit

my favorite beethoven performer. Love how he introduce octaves in the low notes and that personal desynchronization in both hands

Brahms in general was a g. everything ive heard from him has been brilliant.

but this has to be one of the most beautifully painfull pieces of music ive ever heard.

I dont like like a lot of his pieces specially some of his vals, they sound too soft for me, but his bible opus are incredible and if they are conducted by karajan completly perfect

Talking about gymnopedie i remember the emotion i felt at the end of My dinner with Andre, one of my favourite films, when the number 1 sounded at the end.

while i love all the gymnopedies, 1 is too just to joyfull in terms of emotion, like hope, or there being light at the end of the tunnel. but still, sonically its amazing.
