Post by Johnlenham » Fri Aug 16, 2013 11:37 am

Anyone else watch this? I give 0 fucks that it its essentialy a kids program. Pretty much everyone Ive shown it too, ends up loving it as well its just batshit crazy.

Just yesterday I was catching up and some of the parts in this alone had me cracking up

"Mummy! mummy!"

Im not even sure clips will convey how odd it is

of course! the first 4 seasons are brilliant. Not feeling the last stuff they are doing.
my favorite chapter is My Way, the one of the crazy nurse clowns  :D

Hahaha yeaa I love this show! I'd love to meet the people behind shows like this one or Courage the Cowardly Dog or something cos they got some pretty interesting ideas... they're all probably just permanently on acid lol

i saw adventure time for the first time with a mate the first time i had acid. It was My two favorite people chapter, the one that lady rainbow speaks, and we were thinking "are this cartoons really that crazy or it´s just us that we are being delirious" :cornlol:

I watch more cartoons than anything else, I watch them in the evening at the times when soaps are on. They just take away all the stress of being an adult.

Many cartoons work on more than one level and I think the creators know it. My dad used to crack up when I was watching 'Eek! The Cat' because of how out there some of the humor was. Definitely don't think that Adventure Time's just a kid's show either.

I did get out of it tho'. It's great but I just stopped watching it. Might pick it up again sometime

Adventure time is far from a kids show.
It's like Samuria Jack, that was NOT for kids.

It did dip for me at season 4, atleast the first 5-10 eps but its shot right back up again.

Edit: I do know its not just a kids show, but on paper it is and even at first glance it is.
Thats why I had people dissmiss it, atleast until they sat down and watched a few episodes.

The Regular show is also awesome. That has also dipped in season 4 but it still has some great stuff.
Tyler the creator and Earl Sweatshirt as VO, MF DOOM using ello guvnor samples on his most recent album etc.
Dont think anything tops the pilot though.

at the beginning it was for kids with some sings for adults
but they realized that a lot of teenagers and adults watched the sow too so now the show is more for adults. Now there´s a plot about a post apocalyptic future but ffs i don´t care about that i just want to be in the Land of Ooo with jake doing random things
all the animations are very well done though. Specially the jake´s one
