Cloned Massive patches sound different?

Post by Psykodelix » Fri Aug 16, 2013 11:18 pm

I am having a problem where I set up a massive patch and then clone it and it has a different sound. I figure this might have something to do with voicing maybe? I have tried all 3 voicing options (polyphonic, monophonic, monorotate) all in the "always, triller, legato triller" settings and lowered the max voices to the same as unison. Maybe I am missing something, does anyone have a suggestion on a fix? I know I can render them and change them like I want but I would rather not do that in case I want to change something. Thanks for any help! Much appreciated!!!

What daw you useing?

Obvious question: it's not a crack, right?

I can't say I've ever had this problem and I use multiple instances of the same patch a lot in my tunes.

Are you checking restart via gate? That used to give me all kinds of phasing shit

Try turning oscillators on and off. Try setting unisono to 1 on both sounds.
BTW/ how are they exactly different?

Well if you mean that when you copy the entire track and play them back at the same time, and it sounds different, it's because they are being throw out of phase. as in, the two tracks aren't making just one loud sound, but it's causing phase issues.

But if you mean that your patch sounds different when you load it, then I am not too sure why the sound changes when you reload a patch you've made.

Turns out I had to click "keep global pitch" or something like that on the global tab
