Honestly, I've heard 15 year olds with a heck of a lot more potential than most adults these days. More spare time = more wubs. Don't understand how age would affect anything to be honest.
NEW SONG listen please:)

Memtrix is a great example of young talents that can make kick ass music. He started a 15 but didn't go big until 15 when he was signed to lifted music, hear his dnb track "Mind Control" it has reeses just like noisia. Most adult artists (NO OFFENSE) would make more music if they'd stop drinking themselves to death as I see on most of their tour vids (Krewella are drunkards IMO).

Yeah, seems like 15 year olds aren't able to do some research on their own.

Well for one thing, I've done plenty of research and I can make reeses. I was asking for advice on how to make a specific sound. If its such an issue to ask for help with sound design then I don't really see the point of this thread.

Anyways I had a go at the chugging type bassline. I simply chopped up a Reese that I had already recorded to get the percussive chug sound and I added extreme amounts of distortion.

Here is the result:

Been on this forum for quite a while and haven't said this...

I know the basics of reese basses like it's a detuned saw wave with some unison, but I really want to make them have squelch. I'm not trying to replicate anybody, I just want to make my own sound. I tried things like automating the depth and cutoff a chorus and using EQ automation but it sounds completely shit :( Any of you guys can give me tips on creating a rough patch and the FX I should put on and what setting it should be? I did my research but like always, no luck. (Please don't link me Seamless!)

welcome to the forum 12 year old. It's not like this thread got several links and hints for noisia style reese basses. It's just that attitude: I know how mek skrillox wubs and now I want to be noisia but I'm lazy..nah sorry I can't read.. naa actually I'm too lazy to read through 50 pages full of knowledge and tips and try sth. by myself and ask for help after that... so who's that teddy raper? is it you?

The reeses in this song are quite heavy, the drums sound homemade which make it 20x better. One flaw is the sampled break Nolan used at one point of the song.

That slap bass hit though

EDIT: is it me or does the drop not feel like much besides reeses/drums/breaks/and a few synths at the end of bars? I feel like it has a lot of empty space. Not saying it sucks or anything just an observation

THat's wicked. Have no idea on how to make them sound like that. There's this distinct metallic sound to it, and not short delay-metallic like in d-jahsta tunes, another kind.

Can't figure it out but I bet it's something stupid I didn't think of

Secret to that one is by not actually using a reese patch and taking a much bigger bass patch and processing it like a reese...modulate a whole lot of filters, Multiple Notches, LP, Low Shelf, HP, Phaser, etc. Vocodex also helps alot. Then for distortion, I just used fruity waveshaper.
THIS A MILLION TIMES THANK YOU
