What I struggle to understand is why some of these guys even bother doing sets when they obviously don't have a clue what they're doing. Djing and Producing are two completely different things, yet you seem to see more producers who can't mix getting gigs over the DJ's who don't produce... Why don't they find other platforms to perform or get up to skill before they play to a bunch of people who have paid well earned money to see a decent show. It's fucking insulting.

That boiler room set has some fucking tunes in it man. I'm glad i checked it out tbh, I definitely discovered some great tunes! I don't really mind listening to those kind of mixes whilst sitting in my bedroom on a computer as I can skip from part to part (if it's that bad). Being at a gig with someone just bringing in tunes willy nilly without any appreciation for how each tune will work together, or if they are both even in time though would just kill the vibe.

Some of the Dekmantel festival is streaming on Boiler Room. Playing live now are Juju & Jordash, with Vakula and XOSAR up next.
