KOWTON
A producer at the forefront of the renowned Bristol scene, Kowton has been making waves of late with his tough and grime-inspired take on classic techno and house sounds. Having emerged with records for local institution Idle Hands, Peverelist's Livity Sound label, Hessle Audio and All Caps.
along with his recent work with Julio Bashmore culminating in the huge track Mirror Song coming out on Bashmores Broadwalk records imprint, and another track set to be released from the pair soon. as well as various solo work tba, 2013 is looking to be a big year for Kowton.
THEFFT
Thefft’s productions represent the soul of New York and the body of Berlin, with a London mind. By relying on the power of syncopation and sparse, yet regimented percussion, Thefft has carved out a sound that is inimitable.
Having previously released on labels like MadTech, Fulcrum, & Embassy, Thefft has gained firm support from luminaries like Mary Anne Hobbs, Zed Bias, Disclosure, and Oneman.
2013 brought a percussive remix for trio Archie Pelago’s track “Backflight”, which arrived on their Archie Pelago Music imprint in July. Thefft has also released brand new solo material on the newly refurbished RAMP sub label, PTN. Keep an ear out for this young talent.
