Got my soft master done on to the final.
Re: 48 hour contest 30/8 - 1/9 roll call
Why has everyone finished their tracks already... there's like 2 days left, why not polish them up more?

Oh yeah I'm taking the whole day tomorrow to polish the tune up right. In my workflow estimation it was best to get the song written and recorded in one day and use the second day to fine tune.

Was able to make things work, and have submitted a tune I'm rather proud of tbh.

There are still 2 days left ffs.
Why submit now?
I sincerely trust that everyone is only writing a tune in the time allowed.
This comp has run fine for years based on trust.
Let's not ruin it.

Re: 48 hour contest 30/8 - 1/9 roll call
I don't get why it takes some people so long to write tunes. Like seriously, I've only spent over 15 hours on one track in my whole life, and the vast majority come out in under 7.
Any longer than that and it simply won't ever be finished to me.
But yeah, I use FL, so if you really need the proof I can send you screenshots of my session clock.

I never took the point of these contests to make the most banging track in 48 hours. As someone who hasn't made any real tunes since last year, just finishing something to a point that it's got a decent mixdown and cohesive ideas is all I need for my personal sense of accomplishment.

After many hours of doing this
Back and forward from one set of speakers to the another I finally got the results I wanted!
Hopefully I didn't make any mistakes in terms of the rules of this contest but it's there.
Re: 48 hour contest 30/8 - 1/9 roll call
Got most of mine done today... will upload tomorrow evening. It'll probably be kinda obvious which mine is to people.
