Good basic effects for resampling (request)
Re: Good basic effects for resampling (request)
When it comes to effects, I just fell in love with the ableton vocoder <3
Depth is a delusion, the deeper you look the less you see.

It gets extremely tedious making every automation or note change. I wish image line would make it so you could route you're original sound into Harmor solely for its effects and modulators and still have piano roll and time signature automations capabilities.mromgwtf wrote:]Devilsindub wrote:Have you ever tried resampling through Harmor in FL? You can get some pretty sick sounds resynthesising. Huge CPU ping though. You better have a pretty good computer otherwise it gets even more tedious than it already is.
Yeah I did use Harmor. Amazing stuff. Actually at this moment I only resample in Harmor. The things is I don't want to be limited to audio, I want to process sound coming straight from synthesizer, so I can play different notes and make changes to the original sound.
Yeah it's really easy to get bad results. One little modification to the sound in the wrong way and it will sound terrible. Some times it takes a little patience to get it to sound good. I'm not patronizing you btw my demeanor is to helpful.

Well if you want to resample in harmor you need to know what are you doing. Load random sound into it and play with different effects and see how the sound reacts to them. The same goes with learning how to drive a car. You need to learn how the steering wheel reacts to the car, you need to feel it. The same goes with sound design, you need to feel and know how different knobs change the sound.
For example I love setting the phaser at 50/50 d/w, setting the width around 30%, and turning up the speed. Sounds lovely.

"btw my demeanor is to sincere" isn't much better.Devilsindub wrote:Should have said sincere huh?azuk wrote:Lol wut?Devilsindub wrote:btw my demeanor is to helpful.
On topic, I've been experimenting more and more with very long fx chains, then resampling in Harmor. I really like Novation Chorus, but it's not free.
