Best sounding sub bass
what do you think is the best VST for sub bass? I currently use sylenth1 and just use a sine wav. I tried massive as well because I saw Distance posted a tutorial on you tube. Just want opinions.
Re: Best sounding sub bass
Pretty much any synth that can reproduce a sine wave. You're talking about the most featureless element in a track. It's more important how you program your sub than what synth it's coming out of.

1) hes canadian (ew socialist)
2) most BIG name producers use massive. in the newest version, they have a macro that adds extra harmonics in the 45-60 hz area. aka perfect for clubs.
3) ive been drinking
4) if you believed any of this up to this point i pity you
5) on the real tho any synth is good, i usually just use audacity to make a pure sine sample and use that in a sampler
6) stay classy production cru

Re: Best sounding sub bass
I was wondering how Karma gets his sub bass in the track armshouse dub. I can't seem to make a sound similar to that. not saying i wanna rip off his sound. I just love how clean it sounds.

Depth is a delusion, the deeper you look the less you see.
Re: Best sounding sub bass
a sub bass will sound "heavier" depending on what frequency it's hitting as some speakers peak at different frequencies. But a sub bass is always a sine. Maybe it has harmonics but those aren't the actual sub, its just so people without subs can hear the "bass" part.

I prefer sylenth > massive for sub bass
It just sounds better imo. Not sure why.

Sytrus, so I can use midi slides in FL. Also custom envelopes so you can get the attack and release just right.
