then again there are a few threads about how do i where the artist pops up and answers the question some what and people seem to miss the fact they popped up and answered it and keep prattling on
haha, yeah - I remember one thread where somebody explained exactly how to get Datsik's and Datsik posted a comment saying "yeah, that's basically it" - apparently detailed descriptions of the bassmaking process just don't cut it for some people these days!!
I remember that thread! Haha you guys are just forgetting that people like to get spoon fed :cornlol:
haha i remember that too!
haha yea so do I. that was like forever ago too hahaha. I can't believe that still to this day people can't be satisfied with hearing the process right from the exact person they want to sound like

Even when they watch the tutorials on youtube, where people can get pretty close to a sound without resampling, people STILL come here and ask how to make it. Could you imagine if Datsik had a masterclass? We would all be listening to "Boom" for the rest of our lives :u: :u: :u:

i remember reading an old school interview with him... and thinking he wasnt the most knowledgeable fellow outthere, like on the genre and its deeper forms of expression.. and shit...

hes a bit like me hahaha .. hip hop kid with very little uk knowledge from the beginning...

we're used to the fast foodish shit ;)...

ive always thought it made him even more amazing, as a producer... he's so crafty...

datsik is amongst my favourite beatmakers, starting with kraftwerk or... marley marl all the way to 2011... and it kinda got me :O to know he just.. does it.

^Thanks so much!

(yayy my countryyy)

This is so inspiring :) so what he did was just make massive patches, resample and add distortion.

Easier said than done lol. You can here the wavetables clearly in his songs but to finish and clean them up is a challenge.

Really?
Have you not read anything on this board?
There are thousands of threads related to resynthesizing bass samples and adding distortion.
