Re: What game are you playing?
Going to town to see what I can find for cheap on either 360 or PS3. Bit shit that blockbusters closed down so my choice is GAME (rip off) or CEX.
Not really played anything from this year.. maybe the Raiden MGS game? Bioshock Infinite? Last of Us?
Odd how I have no qualms dropping £20 on a LP or a ticket to a club night but I think
"woaah £35 for a game!? fuck that"
Then there is GTA5 in a week so I need somehting to just hold my attention for that long.

Re: What game are you playing?
Two weeks until GTA 5 drops, Sept. 17th, in the States anyways. Bioshock Infinite is fuckin badass! Kinda short if you're the type of gamer that will bang out 8 hours in a single sitting, but the story and just everything about it is top notch.
Re: What game are you playing?
right, just about to finally get into starting the prologue on Rome 2.
Here we go!

Nearly picked up the new final fantasy MMO but couldnt decide on PC or PS3, moments passed now as Im off work tomorrow and then busy for the next 5 or 6 days so not really any point in hooking up to an MMO that I wont recive in the post till after my day off.
Guess Ill try and finish up Wrath of the white witch or pick up Bioshock infi on steam or something.

As i expected the game has a few bugs and optimization issues, but it's all stuff that can easily be patched or modded.

Re: What game are you playing?
well I have 1 big issue so far with this game and it's performance related. Battles out on the plain or in small villages are fine, but cities and anything involving water is absolutely destroying my FPS and my units are all stuttering across the map like retards and it's making it difficult to select units and issue orders.
apart from that, the battles themselves when running smoothly are actually hugely enjoyable. I might need an upgrade, but it seems lots of people who are above min spec like me are having these same issues even on rather low settings. It's rather strange because apparently a lot of other people are having zero problems whatsoever with similar specs to mine. I reckon theres somethign wrong there that needs patching.
Other things - a lot of the systems that we are used to have been overhauled in a nice way. I love the new province system, it really makes it feel like you are conquering portions of land in a logical way rather than in previous iterations where you just spread out as fast as possible in all directions. I'm not sure about the new public order system yet, but I kind of messed up right at the start by bringing loads of slaves back from battles without realising what was happening
Campaign map is beautiful. The game itself is beautiful, if you can run it. The new army recruitment system, the stance system and the traditions system all make the game rather different to older total wars. It really does feel a lot more like a cohesive conquering game than in the past. I can't actually understand how on earth some reviewers have said it's just more of the same. It's so incredibly different to older games that I doubt a lot of these guys either knew how to play or even played at all!
I'm gonna have to see if i can fiddle with some settings to sort out my FPS in battles though.

Harassing enemy land units with my Ballista ship on manual is a lot of fun.

Re: What game are you playing?
been playing in the new killzone beta
gunplay is nice, controls are good too, maybe a bit of tweaking here & there, but other than that its an enjoyable "jump-in-and-kill-people" fps.

Been replaying Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines, makes me want the World of Darkness MMO to come sooner.
Re: What game are you playing?
Vampire the masquerade was pretty dope. Had no idea they were dropping a MMO. When is it set to release?

Re: What game are you playing?
Got Bioshock infinite on my laptop yesterday. The first 20mins I was just amazed.
Shoving a dudes face into the grapple blade I actually said Holy shit out loud haha
The vigors arnt as fun as 1-2, Flame bomb is just absurd and the crow ones not bad. Possesion is basicaly "steal money from vending machines" vigor.
Got to the weapons factory on my first session, no idea how far into it I am but its damn good.

Re: What game are you playing?
Not actually even fired the Bronco one. Crows and Fire mess shit up! but then I switched to Lightning bolt.Rönin wrote:Bucking Bronco b2b Devils Kiss m8ey
Having stuff bust into flames or frazzled then exploding and linking in more fire due to some gear I have is great
Re: What game are you playing?
I was a fan of the possession vigor purely based off of the fact that the possesed enemy kills himself after he's done wiping out his friends, makes me laugh like a school girl everytime
