Agreed, America is way too saturated with pop. Around where my mom lives in New York, there are a lot of trance heads over there. Around where I live though, brostep started to spread in 2011 uncontrollably but went back to it's electro house roots by 2013. I started making dnb a bit popular there by playing in a bar.

That's pretty cool. :) Don't get me wrong, I congratulate all the big names out there for their success (squirrel x and others). But it's sad that the majority of people in America don't look back to the roots and find out where dubstep originated. Like that one dumb ass that said it started a couple of years ago! Are you high chick? :u:

This is retarded. First of all, he straight off assumes "dubstep is just noise lol", and then argues from that basis that it means crowds are getting smart because they can appreciate "just noise".

You know when your right your right. I watched this video when I first started listening to "dubstep" without knowing what real dubstep was. Know that I have some knowledge on the history of dubstep that guy does sound like a fucking retard. It's crazy to think that the origins of dubstep are being phased out by modern aggressive American dubstep  . That title is exhausting but I like that stuff so I refuse to call it Brostep. But come on, it's not actuall pure blooded dubstep. It's a hybrid of genres.

Seriously dude they made us look so fucking stupid in that short video. But at the same time, being a free thinker I hope that there are other free thinkers in other countries that wouldn't put all Americans in the idiot box with these fucking jack holes.

All because of skrillex.
