Lords of Salem - Zombie is getting better and better with his films, was a bit arthouse, but great none the less some really good cinematography in it too.
Been rewatching the original Robocops in preparation for that likely to be a cinematic abortion of a remake. Nothing like Red Foreman as Detroit's most wanted.

Watched Pain and Gain yesterday, pretty funny seeing my gfs friends freak out as the film progressed.
I know alot of it isnt striclty true but some of the most absurd parts are aparently, like the grilling and hair in the chainsaw.

Intense stuff.. would definitely recommend this.
YES! Loves this film. Seems very underrated. Some of the scenes are so tense.

Been watching loads of good stuff recently, here's what stood out

Image
Wings of desire
An angel decides to become mortal after having watched humans for too long. State of the art movie about what it means to be human, everyone should watch this

Image
Fitzcarraldo
I think that's the one where Herzog threatened Kinski with a firearm to shoot some of the scenes. Kinski was probably high as a kite most of the time anyway  Great movie

Image
The Last Detail
I'm the motherfucking shore patrol, motherfucker !
Image
Glengarry Glen Ross

All of them worth a watch

In The Bedroom (2001)

Thought this would be better tbh - decent premise/story, but disappointingly unengaging. I've seen photons exert more gravity.

Image

Cedar Rapids (2011)

Again, bit disappointing. Funny, but not that funny... expected more from Ed Helms really.

Enjoyed it a lot, perhaps just as much the second time (cos as it starts in media res u miss some stuff as you work out wagwan)
I started watching this last night then fell asleep about half an hour before the end. Proper gutted as I was really enjoying it, the pace is pretty slow but it's really intriguing.

Elysium: I realy enjoyed it, not as good as District 9 but not many films are! Good effects and gadgets and decent vision of the future, decent action, alright storyline, dialogue and characters weren't that good other than Kruger. 8/10

Cowboys and Aliens: A bit crap, from the title I wasn't expecting it to be a serious Oscar nominated film but it was just lacking in decent story or dialogue or action, the effects were okay but nothing amazing, the buildup in the first 30 minutes or so is pretty good though. 5/10

Man this movie has some incredible imagery.
Probably the 3rd time I've watched it.

I have The Lost Highway lined up for tonight.
I never managed to finish it.
