Dark (almost wobblefree) dubstep.

Post by nekkroteukh » Mon Sep 17, 2007 7:56 pm

Just uploaded 2 new tracks to my myspace. I've tried to avoid the clichees, but I can't stay away from that LFO-cutoff action, I just try and make it deep enough to not sound like a wobble.
The toons are very different:
"Krooked" is a simple but effective tune with some reggae chords, organlike synths and a deep as hell sub bass.
"Babylon Dusk" is noisy sawsynths vs. deep deep sub with some china cymbals and dark atmospheric sounds to add to the wickedness
Check 'em out, light up, give some feedback and pm for 320s.

Thanks in advance for listening.

Hey mate, really like the track Babylon Dusk :) specially the DEEEP bassline.

I felt, Krooked sounds a bit dry at first and takes a bit long to get going, plus off beat chord strike is in the wrong key, It just doesn't fit with any of the other synth parts.
Like the wobbly bass line when it kicks in :)

(send me a MySpace friend request if you like, I can't send them myself cos of an error in my acct.)

Thanks for sharing

:D

Glad you like Babylon Dusk.
about Krooked: I don't know if it's my lack of insight in melody or because I got used to it hearing the track a billion times while producing it, but to me the chords sound fine both with the synth riff and the bass line.
I'll try and change it though, cause I really like the bassdrops and would like others to enjoy the tune too.

Thank you very much for the feed back!
