Good thing you're keeping it a secret from your friends and family so that when they come across your soundcloud online they won't know it's you. You'll probably be listening to your own tunes on the kitchen radio, trying to hide a smile, while your granny does the electric slide in her apron.

When I finally settled on an artist name I consulted a few friends over email etc. But I'd never ask in a forum thread. Part of that is I know better...but even when some people weren't sure of the option I'd gone with I knew it was the right one.

@OP. Dead Circuit isn't terrible. Maybe a tad clunky but better than a lot of names people get stuck with. Honestly most monikers will do. If there is cool music attached and you can get that music to the right people the artist name is almost irrelevant IMO
