Why does the Frequency shifter sound so good?

Post by Fluxit » Fri Sep 20, 2013 6:53 am

I never used the frequency shifter in massive, but now i put it on almost every sound. It adds life to anything when its dialed in right (dry/wet about 50% with pitch tuned right). Especially with making monster basses, you barely have to try and you already got a crazy unique wild one on your hands. Seriously, this one parameter is like sound design cheating.

I think its basically doing a custom layering job, by duplicating your sound into the chosen pitch and then letting you control the balance with the dry/wet.

Why do you guys think it works so good?
