I've been in an electro / indie / rock band for the last 13 years playing synth and keys, I've recently followed up a sideline in Dubstep and have made 3 tracks so far.
I'm steadily learning the ropes, but know I have a long way to go. I'm using FL Studio 11 and so far have about 3 weeks experience.
I've been playing around with three tracks so if you have time to listen, would be great.
Thanks.
Maks.

Re: New User, A few tunes.
Welcome man
First things first, if you really serious about making some dubstep. Lose the preset samples man. I can name them by hearing your track easily. Vengeance Dubstep right? Yeah they sound dope and are frigging handy because they are premade but the truth is they just aren't that original anymore. Get a copy of a decent 3osc (Massive, FL 3osc, Toxic Biohazard, Sylenth1) and check out some tutorials for them. Also start learning how to lay down some basic drumloops instead of using the premade ones from vengeance.
Truth be told, I used them too here and there but the key with samples is subtility. Its not bad to include them in your tracks but make them very subtle.
Listening to Phyer right now and this is much better, I can hear the basses aren't premade (just a guess tho) and it just sounds more personal here. Try to stick to this method to make tunes. Listen to alot of different producers and watch lots of tutorials and you will learn incredible stuff.
Hope this is usefull for you man

Cheers for the reply, I've taken on board what you've said. After using the software for 3 weeks I'm still getting to grip with functions but will definitely work on loops when I know what I'm doing, I'm trying to take small bites of the apple to start with, producing is very new to me.
