PARIS

Post by defoxster » Mon Sep 23, 2013 3:48 pm

Going to Paris beginning of October with the girlfriend. Got a few things on the list I wanna do they're all pretty standard though. Patisseries, Galleries & the usual sights. Anyone got any extra suggestions I should check out? Or things to avoid. Cheers ninjas!

Don't let the 'looky looky' men put bracelets and stuff on you on the steps on Sacre-Coeur; they'll try to charge you for it. You sometimes have to be a bit aggressive in telling them you don't want their tacky shit.

ALSO, if someone offers to buy you a weekly transport card at the ticket machine on their credit card and for you to give them the cash, DON'T DO IT. Always buy transport tickets yourself.

this.
how long will you be in there for? in terms of clubs batofar is definitely a place to check. so is la machine du moulin rouge - there is a tessela b2b truss all nighter in here on the 11th. avoid social club.
if you want to visit some lesser known parts of paris, i strongly recommend the 11e arrondissement, lots of great things there.

yep, 10th is next to 11th. try and visit canal st martin; if you want cool bars for nights oberkampf area really is your best bet.
haven't been to angelina tea room, let me know how you think it is if you go. if you want to try these kinds of places and happen to be in 5th, sugarplum cakes are quite decent.
unrelated but since angelina tea room is on rue de rivoli - there is a good artist squat kind of place on this street called 59 rue de rivoli. lots of cool artists doing fun things and generally friendly people.
