I enjoy playing some sports though, but I've always hated football (and yes I'm shit at it too).

I fucking hate watching football, it literally bores me to tears. Cricket is even worse. fuck cricket. fuck tennis. fuck croquet, fuck any other over hyped, over endorsed bullshit sports.

I play football twice a week, really enjoy playing it. but watching it.... And the people who analyse every touch, every transfer rumour, every management decision, its a fucking soap opera for people who hate corrie (which is equally as shit).

in fact the only sports i enjoy watching are snowboarding and bmx (which i also do).

People are properly missing that music, books, films, sports, working out, going out, drinking, chatting shit, are all just things to pass the time without getting bored. Think how much we talk about music, getting hyped over tunes nobody's heard, talking about "unknown" artists, etc. All just as stupid as talking about guys kicking a ball around on a logical level, but it's just fun. Don't make somebody a tnuc if they like something.

I have read plenty of books, I dont read them to talk about them as none of my mates really read. I enjoy mostly different music to all of my mates so barely talk music...

In fact, i FUCKING HATE talking about music (as in song releases, I like the production side discussions), its such a 1-up game. people always trying to flex they music muscles to prove they are are more knowledgeable about X-genre and all that. I cringe when people start talking to me about music and start name dropping.

People will talk about anything that interests them. I've just spent the last hour speaking to my mate at work on communicator about a book. Before that, speaking to the guy next to me and my project manager about footy. Before that, I spoke to my mate at work who produces music. People enjoying something rabidly that has no real effect on their life is not unique to sports. If you people get bored of your friends talking about boring shit all the time, then maybe they're just boring people.
