excellent EP overall but I thought walts reaction when they found jessie was a bit strange, always believed he had a tiny bit of moral obligation left towards jessie - even though him admitting the killing of jessies ex gf (whatshername?) was inevitable towards the end of the show. especially he knows that they gonna torture him to death.... that nephew kid todd seems like a fucking robo, is he even conciously thinking???

also: did skylar already confess that walts heisenberg or why didnt the police seem to be surprised when walts was talking about his ways of earning money and the death of hank?

I think he did until Jesse created that situation, I know walt ultimately created it himself, but Jesse hatched that plan and made it happen. Guess it was the final straw.

The police didn't seem suprised because they don't know anything about it anyway I guess, they were normal cops there for the abduction of a child, not for heisenberg.

i think the ricin may end up being for lydia, only because of the significance they place on the tea... she's often drinking tea and the shots always focus on it, and in a couple scenes there was a fair amount of dialog about it (the diner where the waitress gets it wrong, or when todd offers to add another bag)

That's a good observation, what'd his motive be for killing Lydia be though? Not saying it aint happening, just can't think why. Walt's gotta die, can't see it ending any other way

maybe if Walt starts getting rid of all her henchmen to help Jesse/get his money, Lydia has to send people out to stop Walt. And then Walt has to get rid of Lydia somehow before she gets to him? i dont know lol, you cant guess with this show

Nah, he cares. Walt was faced with the consequences of his actions. Hank died and he lost everything he gained and it's his fault. He just couldn't blame himself for it yet so he projected all the blame onto Jesse. As if Jesse betraying him got Hank killed, not Walt trying to become a meth kingpin.

Tho I don't think he's after Jesse and he probably expects him to be dead by the time he gets there (unless he somehow finds out about blue meth being produced). I think in the next 2 eps he disappears for a while but comes back to avenge Hank and try to get as much money as he can back to his family. He'll probably take the ricin himself right before he goes in to kill everyone. Sort of like a timed cyanide pill.

But we'll know if I'm wrong soon enough.

Yeah as of right now there is no motive and his reaction after getting the ricin back is too emotionally charged for it to be for Lydia. It's a great observation, though, but she's a "middleman" who hasn't really caused anything. She's less responsible for anything that happened than anyone else is and going out of his way to kill a higher up from a huge corporation would only endanger the rest of his plan. And it was Walt hiring the neo-sizan that got Hank killed, not Lydia hiring them to cook meth.

I think the tea is more of a symbol of her. The writers tend to do that. Like the way they punished Walt by making him look like a dung beetle in the last episode. She's an uptight and stingy ball of neurotic anxiety. The way she's insistent about her tea and obnoxious about it also shows how she is about her business and in general. Todd accomodating her on her tea shows how much she's willing to do to please Lydia even at her most stinginess. He obviously has a thing for her anyway.

Andrea getting killed was pretty damn dark, but a direct result of Jesse fucking up again.
Really good ep for showing the frailty of Walt even paying 10k to find out he has no hope of getting his money to his family.
He seriously has nothing left at this point.

The scene with Walt paying 10k to spend an hour with the vacuum guy was actually proper heartbreaking... First time i've felt proper empathy for Walt in about a season! It really shows how good Vince and his writing team are at playing with the viewer's emotions.
Can't wait for next week...

Awesome episode having Walt in a cold snowy setting, with the whole series so far being set in the AZ/Mexico desert, a really different feeling episode...can't wait for next week!!

Would you not be crying all the time if literally everything you loved got taken away from you over and over? Jesse never gets a break, whereas Walt hasnt really had any consequences of his actions up until the last few episodes.

I don't think Jesse will survive tbh. He'll have all the izan's in a murderous revenge, but then Walt will do him over. He's a dead man. Walt will probably kill all the grey matter people too. Then leaves his cash to Brock, as he has no family left.

I don't fucking know, this series is impossible to predict.

This lol. I like Walt, he knows what he's done, why he had to do it to reach his end game. All the other people seem to wanna dip in and out as it suits them just to maintain a moral high ground.

Him and Walt both blame others for things they caused but at least Walt is pro-active in sorting stuff out.

Jesse had been a dick to his seemingly nice family for years and then continued to be a dick getting his Aunt's house from them and blackmailing them to get it.
He got Jane back into drugs even though she told him she was a recovering addict. Even after that he tried to get Andrea into drugs while she was at rehab.

He got his friend Combo dealing for him who then died.

- Walt didn't really have anything to do with any of those things, it's all Jesse bringing people into danger that he has had plenty of chances of getting away from. He turns on Walt all the time and blackmailed him to say he was carrying on cooking and grass on him if caught (which he ended up doing), most of the shit with gus was because of Jesse.

......he's been a dick to plenty of people and done plenty of crying and regret but still mostly blames others and not much getting stuff sorted and fixing things.
