Because it still looks like a big bag full of mashed up asshole!
Name 5 credible producers who use FL Studio...
Reaper is even worse, again name 5 real producers(not forum noobs) that use this DAW?
I could name a ton of people that use Cubase, Logic or Ableton. They are the big 3.

Fuck you kid, I've been doing this for well over a decade. You don't know shit about me so don't start with the condescension. I appreciate that you like the program, but I don't, and I'm not going to be spoke down to by some forum dickhead. Tone it down.
Oh look a brand new bait account!
You sure did get salty all of a sudden. I could have gotten all butthurt that you said Reaper was a horrible awful cheap daw.

Boo hoo! I've been doing this for over a decade! I don't need to take any sass from the forum douche-I mean.... the forum dickhead!
An appeal to majority is a pretty weak grounds for argument. Look everyone has justin beiber, katy perry and miley cyrus CD's, they're obviously the best musicians. The big 3 you know.

The reason I got "salty"(not heard that one before), is that you assume that I haven't tried Reaper properly, or that I don't get it! I get it just fine thanks, I just don't like it. There are far more user friendly options out there.
Musicians are not music programs, I don't know why you'd make the comparison. Name 5 real producers that use Reaper... still waiting!

Wow, it's more popular than I thought. I thought Deadmau5 used Ableton for some reason.

Download a demo of it, think you'll be surprised if u haven't tried it for some versions. It's on 11 now and the apdc got added in 9.1 I think, and there's been alot of new good stuff added since that

Guys, keep it civil. This is supposed to be a FRIENDLY thread. If you want to roll around on the floor, do it in Eddie's office, not in here

The point is, an appeal to majority is a fallacy and a poor arguing point. Who cares who uses Reaper? If it were the best DAW in the world but nobody knew about it would that make it worse? If it was the shittiest DAW and everyone used it would that make it better? I'm sure a lot of people use Garageband because it's bundled with macs. Does that make Garageband better because lots of people use it?

He does use ableton, I think more than any other daw. That's what I like about him, if someone ask what daw you uses he just answers back with all of them. Which is pretty cool.
I think he's using ableton a lot more because he feels more comfortable with his set up at the moment. Since he has like an million outboard synths and effects. Plus has like 100 something audio channels
I think KTN does the same thing. He use to use reason only for awhile but switches back to another daw for compositions. I don't know if it's Fl or ableton?

Think deadmau5 is switching between Cubase and Ableton nowadays, and Kill the Noise is on ableton aswell, probably re-wiring reason if he still uses it

Supposedly KOAN uses FL sometimes for drums, and I heard Deadmau5 stopped using FL a while back.

If there was a best DAW in the world, I think it would be reasonable to assume that a lot of people would know about it. Especially pro producers, seeing as how they devote their life to producing on DAWs. So I don't think it's a weak argument, and it wasn't my only argument. I tried it and didn't like it.

Well saying you don't like it isn't an argument either. An argument would be giving some concrete reasons as to why you think it's inferior to other DAWs.
Plenty of people have switched from Pro Tools to Reaper. The reason that its userbase isn't as large as some of the other major DAWs is because it's still a young program and many foolishly write it off as a toy because of its price tag. Of the people who give it an honest shot and make the effort to adapt to the new workflow, I'm sure many will tell you that it's more intuitive and powerful than whatever they were previously using.

Yeah you make a good point. Being a 10 year vet has really afforded you the experience to articulate your thoughts on the tools of your craft.

I've been using ableton for 2 years now, and i'm very, very tempted to move to FL studio. No idea why people would think Ableton is more capable than FL. There's not even automatic delay compensation. The one good thing about it is the session view, and FL studio are working on their own version of that too.
All in all, just waiting for bitwig to release v1.

I'm almost positive this is false.
