I think brostep has gone in two different directions: the filthy stuff has gone back to it's niche (ie. Youtube bros and American sausage-fest clubs) and the poppy stuff has sort of merged into 'EDM' to the point that it's basically indistinguishable from any other genre under that umbrella.
