on a number of gta forums the community has been testing the bawsaq influence by buying up hal and pisswasser, that's why those have been steadily rising all week. pretty sure they intend to collectively sell in a few hours

Be interesting to see if that happens... I saw a couple of posts around where people were getting an error buying HAL stocks recently so it sounds like they might be trying to get a handle on it.

Don't know how many of you peeps plan on playing the shit out of GTA: Online. Been reading quite a bit about it today since that's where I'll be spending a majority of my time starting tomorrow. Found some interesting things...

Each "Game" or "World" will have a max of 16 players, each mission/job/hiest will only allow 4 players. Other people playing in the "world" you're in will be able to affect your missions/jobs/hiests even if they are not a part of your 4-man crew.

However, activities such as golf, tennis, darts, etc... will be individually instanced so other people in your "world" won't be able to shoot rockets at you while you're trying to sink that hole-in-one.

I just found out today that there is a "passive mode" in which you will be un-killable, also you won't be able to kill anyone else. Any aggressive action taken while in passive mode automatically stops passive mode, I read somewhere that it'll cost something like $100 to activate. Also, there is gonna be some sort of "Bad Sport" system in which people who are focusing on griefing other players and just being general stnuc will be herded with others like them....

On that note, anyone playing should be on the look-out for a player named "Outlawdammit" on PSN and "Outlaw430" on XBL. This guy started a thread on a GTA forum stating his only purpose with GTAO is to grief other people by screwing up races, camping ATM's, etc...

There will also be a Rank (level) and Reputation system. I'm not exactly sure what all the Rank system entails but I know it maxes out at Rank 100. You get reputation through doing jobs and hiests and apparently can only unlock guns, vehicles, safehouses, etc... through gaining rep. So anyone that spends a bunch of real money for in-game money won't be able to do shit until they get the proper Rep, rep also plays into the whole "Bad Sport" thing.

One last thing. There will supposedly be 500 missions to do upon launch, but there will be no hiests. Apparently those will be added in later. You have to have purchased one of the high-end properties (Mansion/apartment) with a "planning room" to have access to hiest jobs.

That all sounds pretty interesting. I like all the mechanisms to stop stnuc ruining everything because come tomorrow, there will be a LOT of stnuc trying to ruin everything.

Search for DSF and it should come up, that's what I did! It's the same crew for PS3 and XBox, but I guess we can only play with each other on the same platforms.
